I don't actually fly a real plane. I'm a virtual pilot. My game of choice is IL-2 and it is the only game I almost exclusively play multiplayer on.

I love flying, I adore planes. My perfect gift would be a couple of hours in the air in a two seater WWII plane.

There isn't any other feeling close to the sensation of flying.
It's freedom.

I can't really explain to those that aren't real pilots or a part of the simulation community about how it feels when you fly, you'd simply have to try it yourself.

I doubt I'll ever get to fly a real plane sadly, but I'm pretty sure that if I ever did, that sense of freedom would be exactly the same.
